Aaron's brother, Eric, and his wife, Darien came to visit for Memorial Day weekend. Also, as Darien's brother was doing an internship in DC, her parents, brother, and other family friends also decided to come out to visit. We had a great time bunking up and enjoying the city. My absolute favorite part of the weekend? We used Capitol Bikeshare to ride bikes to all of the monuments at night. It was seriously the perfect way to see the monuments (especially for those of us that live nearby and don't need to get up close again!). So much fun. My second favorite part? Eating at the new Cafe Rio in Maryland! We also visited the various Smithsonians, visited the temple, went to the Memorial Day concert at the Capitol, and Arlington Cemetary on Memorial Day (I don't recommend it though - so crowded and we were unable to see the tomb of the unknown solder because Obama was also visiting). Wish I had more pictures, but I still need to get others from Eric and Darien - guys when you get a chance, send them along please! :)
The weekend was also a fun preview of what's to come as Eric just accepted a job in DC and they are moving here! We're so excited to have some Lairds closer to us!
